Helping All Children in School

Plans to Make School Fair for Everyone

The UK government wants to make sure all children do well in school, no matter how much money their family has. They plan to change how schools help children who need extra support. This is part of a new plan called the Schools White Paper.

The plan will also look at how children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) get help. From 2029, children with SEND will have their support checked after primary school. Schools will make special plans for each child who needs extra help.

Some parents worry about these changes. They want to make sure their children still get the help they need. Experts say the current system is hard to use and not always fair. The government hopes the new plan will make things better for all children.
