A 1,700-year-old Pictish stone with symbols was found in Caithness. Dounreay's operators helped save and show the stone found in a burial ground.

In 2022, Fiona Begg Wade found a grave marker stone. It's now at the North Coast Visitor Centre in Thurso, with help from Dounreay and others.
The fund gave £5,500 for the stone project. It helps community projects with money from Dounreay, which also supports the visitor centre.
