Scottish Labour won the Hamilton by-election. Davy Russell got 8,559 votes, beating the SNP by 602 votes. Turnout was 44.2%.

Davy Russell said he will speak for the people at Holyrood. He thinks the SNP hasn't done enough. Sir Keir Starmer congratulated him and said people want change.
Reform UK came third with 7,088 votes. Tories were fourth with 1,621 votes. Richard Tice called it a "massive boost." SNP wants to learn from this.
Reform UK faced criticism for a racist advert about Anas Sarwar. Sarwar called Nigel Farage "pathetic and poisonous" for defending it.
