A new Harry Potter TV series is coming. Filming starts this summer, and it might be on TV in 2026 on HBO Max. It will follow the books closely.

The main characters are chosen: Dominic as Harry, Alastair as Ron, and Arabella as Hermione. Over 30,000 kids tried out.
Famous actors join the cast: John Lithgow as Dumbledore, Paapa Essiedu as Snape, Nick Frost as Hagrid, Janet McTeer as McGonagall.
Katherine Parkinson is Molly Weasley. Bel Powley and Daniel Rigby are the Dursleys. Paul Whitehouse is Argus Filch.
More students will be in the show. Leo will be Seamus, Alessia will be Parvati, and Sienna will be Lavender. The show has more details than the films.
The show will be made in the UK. JK Rowling will help. It will have details from the books. The old movies can still be watched.
